Fri, 30 March 2007 As much as I'd like to think I can do without one, I've grudgingly given in and created a MySpace page for the podcast. You can check it out at myspace.com/youarenotawinner, though, like my podcast so far, it's pretty bare bones (although I did add a song to the profile, which is awesome). Just like when I made a personal page a while back (that I almost never use), I can't for the life of me figure out how to personalize the main profile page, not even how to change the colors. I tried checking out the forums, and found instructions, but for whatever reason they seemed completely incomprehensible. I realize this is simply an issue with me, and my utter failure to comprehend HTML any more complex than what would be used to create a Geocities page. I mean, if a 14 year-old can figure out how to change his or her background so that it consists of animated pot leaves, I should jolly well be able to figure out how to change mine from the default blue and white to black. Then again, as the Boyfriend said, I don't want to spend too much time tweaking with the less important aspects of the page, lest I become one of "those people." Still...Pixies, man, how fucking awesome is that? http://www.myspace.com/youarenotawinner Category: general -- posted at: 10:25 PM Comments[0] |
Thu, 29 March 2007 There's now a visual to go with the show. Thanks to Mike, pretty much the best ex-husband a girl could ask for, for designing it.I'm diligently making notes (in my head, which means they will soon disappear like earliest morning's dew drops) for the next show, a celebration of glam rock, as well as, completely unrelated to the subject, proof that my podcast is aptly named. Watch for it this time next week, barring natural disaster or a moment of clarity that will make me realize this is an ultimately pointless exercise.
